I had a tough weekend. I only wound up eating one meal both days this weekend, as I got hit with a virus in the middle of the night on Friday night. I don’t believe it was detox, since I had been eating similarly for a while, just not formally tracking it. And I didn’t have a lot of my normal detox symptoms, either.
So on Saturday I had a turkey burger patty with a big green salad at dinner, and on Sunday I had my veggie-heavy sloppy joes for lunch. Both days, I met my goal even though I didn’t take in near enough food overall. I was able to drink, so I continued with my nettle and RRL tea.
I haven’t been able to eat breakfast this morning, I hope to be able to get down some lunch in an hour or so. I’m planning on some sloppy joe filling with no bun and some salad. I’ve got pate or I can make a smoothie if I get hungry between meals, and dinner is going to be a chuck roast from the crock-pot with a lot of stir-fried summer veggies and a salad for dinner.
I’m relying heavily on salad right now. It’s expensive, as we’re going through about 2 pounds a week. I’m wishing now we had been able to do a garden! And I know my favorite cooking green for winter, kale, is on the dirty dozen list, so I need to buy it as organic if at all possible. That’s also very expensive. I’m plotting and planning ways I can get the garden cleared in enough time to get some cooking greens into the ground, in hopes that I’ll have it for winter.
