I’m taking a day off from blogging today. It’s our eleventh wedding anniversary. While I am the face of CTF and I handle all of the blogging, forum posting, writing the mailers and the customer service, what many of you do not know is that my husband works tirelessly on CTF behind the scenes. For months now, we have worked side by side, every night and all weekend. This new website wouldn’t have happened without his help. While I’ve been putting in 60-80 hours a week, he’s been coming home from his day job and working on CTF until midnight every night and all weekend. It’s a family business. Soon, we will be launching several new products that are his work. While it’s my forte to write recipes, most of the technical work behind the scenes comes from a very handy husband who is willing to work hard to see his wife succeed. I think you’ll be excited to see what’s in store.
So instead of writing today, I’m just going to share a recipe. This is the chia seed drink we enjoy daily. The kids like it, and it’s a great way to get probiotics into them. It’s a win-win.
2 cups plain water kefir
1 Tbs lemon juice
stevia &/or sucanat to taste (I prefer NuNaturals to other brands)
2 tsp chia seeds
Combine ingredients in a pint mason jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake vigorously until the seeds are no longer clumping together. Allow to sit for 30 minutes (I leave mine in the fridge overnight) until the chia seeds have gelled and sunk to the bottom of the jar.
If you want this drink fizzy like a soda, put it in a lock-top bottle with an extra tsp or two of sucanat and let it sit in the fridge for 48 hours before consuming. The sucanat feeds the probiotcs and goes through a secondary ferment to create the carbon dioxide that carbonates the drink.

Happy Anniversary! Enjoy your day off 🙂
Thank you! I’m spending it with a husband too sick to sit upright and a little boy who is sick. lol!
I just discovered Chia recently & I love it. I make a “Chia Gel Chocolate Milk” with chia gel, almond milk, cocoa & stevia….I just love the texture of chia!!
I like the chia puddings. Next, I’m going to try putting chia into smoothies and see how that turns out.
I have to try this! I make water kefir already & recently fell in love with chia seeds! I have not used them in a drink! YAY! sounds very refreshing!
What’s the purpose of the chia in the drink, besides being nutritionally beneficial?
The benefit is the nutrition. They’re a good source of calcium, iron and trace minerals.
Happy Anniversary, Kerry Ann! The lemonade sounds super. I’ve been looking for new ways to use chia seeds — and so has my mom. I’m going to pass this on to her, too! 🙂

That is understandable that money makes people autonomous. But how to act when somebody does not have cash? The one way only is to receive the home loans and just short term loan.
