At One Vibrant Mama, we are all about empowering you to live vibrantly. We equip you for advocacy, overcome bad theology that can contribute to chronic illness or trauma, and help you understand your worth. As we examine scripture through the lens of Jesus, we equip you to understand and walk out your faith and your calling in your marriage, home, church, and community.

As a survivor of sexual and spiritual abuse, chronic illness and as a former cult member who has grown and led by the Holy Spirit to become in all ways egalitarian, I have been a part of the advocacy community for 5 years. Advocacy is my passion. My calling is to help women walk through the process to survivor while living vibrantly and influencing their families, churches, and communities to raise awareness of the needs of trauma survivors and the chronically ill.
Many trauma survivors, including myself, deal with chronic illness. While we work to heal our health, we focus on self-care and removing stress, ferreting out the bad doctrine and relationship issues that contributed to the decline in our health, and learn to set boundaries while we manage our condition. I have come to learn that while not every day is joyful, there is something joyful in even the darkest days.
I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom to two teens who enjoys writing, cooking, knitting, reading, researching health and wellness and I love the color purple. I’m a bullet journal and time management junkie and I’m destined to be a crazy cat lady in the near future. When I’m not working on my blog, you can usually find me on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest, plotting my next big project. I’m an INFJ and an Enneagram 8. I spend a lot of time wearing headphones and listening to binaural music.
My days are filled with studying scripture, teaching my kids, cooking, writing, chores, building relationships and a lot of love. I’m a Christian feminist who loves seeing the captives and the oppressed set free. I am all about elevating everyone up to the same level, not tearing down anyone or elevating some above others.
I have a project-oriented mind, so I’m always cooking up something or working to make it happen. I regularly dream about giving birth, but it’s always to a big project like a book or a new class for the blog. Hubby is also a project person, working full time as a civil engineer but also having a big side gig with his vintage and unique eBay store, History Salvaged, or singing with his doo-wop group, ShBoom.
You’re welcome to contact me. I’d love to hear from you!
