Earlier this week, I had a Q&A about making real foods doable in a time crunch– working outside of the home, caring for elderly or sick children, homeschooling and the like. One of my pieces of advice was to stick to meals during the week that require 30 minutes or less, start to finish (or 20 minutes total time if you’re in a big time crunch). It sounds daunting, but it is doable.
Here’s a list of 101 real food recipes that are thirty minutes or less, start to finish. The only forethought required is to thaw meat. I stopped at 101, but I there are many more out there. Many of these recipes can be batch cooked for extra time savings! Dont’ be afraid to cook ahead and freeze or eat the extra on another night, giving you additional time savings in the kitchen.
We’ll follow this post up next week with meals that are 30 minutes or less of hands-on time, with additional time needed for chilling, baking, soaking or the like. Those meals are convenient for days when you’re home but engaged in other activities.
We’re doing some minor repairs and renovations at home right now, so I’m making good use of these lists myself. We’ll be back on the blog next week, once the repairs are done.
Enjoy!

Hey 🙂 Thanks for linking up my almond bars!
Meagan recently posted..Grain-free Coconut flour Spice Cake.
LOVE THIS ! You’re right about it really NOT taking that long.
I think sometimes we tend to make things more complicated. My kids are VERY happy with eggs and pancakes for supper, or lay out the crackers, cheeses, meat and fruit bits on a table cloth in the living room floor and have a picnic lunch !
I also like the meals in 15/15 minute concept. There are a LOT of meals that only take 15 min of prep in the morning and 15 min of prep in the evening for a nice dinner! An example of this would be crockpot meals.
You’re right. . . .the only trick is to think ahead a little bit and have meat thawed, etc. 🙂
